C.C.S. Dress Code

Spring in the North Country seems to arrive in fits and starts.  But yes, the first day of spring has officially come to pass.  With that comes warmer weather and more outdoor activity.  It might be a good time to take a few moments to review the school’s dress code and provide your sons and daughters with a gentle reminder of what attire is appropriate for school and what is not.  Some items in their wardrobes may be perfectly acceptable at home or at a picnic, but those same items do not fit the dress code of a public school.  Some clothes are highly fashionable and look beautiful when worn in the right settings, but are, unfortunately, not right for the conservative school setting

Would You Like to Host an Exchange Student Next Year?

We have information from two agencies this year, CCI (Center for Cultural Interchange), and EF (Education First Foundation for Foreign Study), for families who would like to open their homes to a foreign exchange student.  Students come from Germany, Brazil, Spain, Hong Kong, Norway, Colombia, Japan among many other global countries and cities.  If you are interested in CCI, contact Nancy Sandersen at 222.6042 or nancy4cci@aol.com.  For more information about CCI please go to their website http://www.cci-exchange.com/usprograms_home.aspxIf you are interested in EF, contact Karen Houppert at 376.8706.  For more information about EF please go to their website http://www.ef.com/us-home/.

Parent Portal Information
 eSD Parent Portal Access

Welcome to Eschool Data Parent Portal

As we welcome you to the “Nexgen Parent Portal” provided by E-School Data, we would like to call your attention to several important details.

The “Nexgen Parent Portal” is in its initial offering to schools in New York State this year. E-School Data continues to develop and improve their product every day based on feedback they receive from schools and parents. Coupled with this is the fact that the relationship between CCS and E-School Data is in its infancy. So we have a school that is new to a product paired with a company that is new to providing the service. As such, we are still learning each other’s needs and shortcomings. An advantage to this relationship is that, as E-School Data creates their product, they are extremely responsive to our personal requests.

Because of this, we would like to make sure you realize that as you use the Portal over the remainder of the year, things will change. You may see certain data tomorrow that was not available today. You may wish you could access certain things that are not yet available. Certain features may not be functional now that will be later. We are asking for your patience and understanding as we work through our “growing pains” together, with the knowledge that we will all see improvement as the year unfolds.

Thank you,

Nadine O'Shaughnessy
K-12 Principal
